How To Find A Perfect Bra That “Gets You” – The Ultimate Bra-Buying Guide

How To Find A Perfect Bra That Gets You - The Ultimate Bra-Buying Guide, Bra, how to choose Bra, cup size, sexy bra, sexy underwear

All the women out here – recall your ‘first bra buy’ story. Was it the plain Jane white beginners’ bra? While there can be nothing wrong with looking at this scenario at first glance, dig deeper and see how has the bra-buying experience evolved for you over all these years.

When it comes to choosing a bra, there exists a plethora of options – colour, design/pattern, material, and so on. Unfortunately, what one fails to understand is the priority while selecting a bra, where a proper size or comfort is not on the list at all! There’s more to bra buying for any occasion, be it daily wear, work, party or jogging.

Fact: 80% of women put on the wrong bra size. And almost for all of them; it’s a moo point – like a cow’s opinion; it just doesn’t matter! Surprised? Yes! One might be astonished to find out that the bra that they recently got might cause more harm than do any good to the body!

What many of them fail to realize is that the breast sizes keep on changing. It’s time to over-come the hic-cup (pun intended) that the breasts experience when they tend to be in the wrong places (read sizes).

The Match-Maker: Stop Assuming, Start Calculating

Understand your body. Give it all the comfort that it needs just by selecting the right fit. Choosing the right bra not only makes you appear good but also boosts your confidence, ensures comfort, and, most importantly, plays a huge role in determining your posture & health.

An ill-fitting bra ruins the posture, aggravates backache, induces breast pain, causes skin irritation, and can ruin the aesthetics of the outfit worn.

So, how to choose a bra with the right cut, fit, and size?

Grab a measuring tape and a calculator.

1. Determine the band size.

Wrap the tape snugly around your torso under the bust. Note the measure & round up to the nearest even whole number.

2. Measure the bust.

Measure by wrapping the tape loosely around the fullest part of your breast & round up to the nearest whole number.

3. Calculate Cup-Size.

Subtract your band size (Step 1) from your bust size (Step 2) and refer to the bra cup size chart available online.

Usually, it’s

1 inch difference = A cup

2 inches = B cup

3 inches = C cup

4 inches = D cup

5 inches = DD cup

Your bra size is your band size + your cup size.

If one is not comfortable or is confused with the above method, she should not hesitate to visit a professional at a store who might be of good help.

Simple signs to look out for a well-fitted bra:

  • The straps should sit snugly on your shoulders without leaving marks on your skin
  • The band of the bra should wrap straight without feeling clenched up
  • The cup should cover the curve of your breasts without them spilling over. The top of your cup and the strap should meet effortlessly

Finding a perfect size might be difficult, but once you refer to the above suggestions, the task is a cakewalk. It is recommended that one should get measured every 6 months.

Hook-up with the best. After all, the ones that you keep close to your heart should be ‘the right ones’ for you.
